Join us for a tapas tour in downtown Seville. First we start with a short introduction of the History of Tapas. Definition, suggestions, Do’s and Don’ts, and maybe pairings.
Sevilla is the Capital of Tapeo, or at least, is the most famous city about it, and for complying with the unwritten but fundamental rules; the lifestyle, street life, climatology, variety of products and a more than ideal urban plot. Tapas is a super social activity. But is also a generic concept that englobes certain actions from the same mood, such as: drink, eat, chitchat, wave hello, see and be seen.
As any other art, is totally opposed to any exact science and gives the “tapeador” the opportunity to do as he/she pleases. It dresses the concept of nutrition with a playful mischief. It breaks the monotony of the usual habit of eating. Tapeo is also a wonderful opportunity for juicy talk. you go deep into inconsequential topics, but treated with utmost acuity.
You’ll see that Sevillians or Spaniards in general are very open and warm and love to share recipes and experiences You must know that in Spain a bar is not only a place to consume alcohol, its also a place for family gatherings, after a football match, after church, you name it. The reason: Bars serve food as well as drinks. And the tapas tradition makes it even more appealing to eat out rather than cook. As the tour unfolds, you’ll discover different textures and flavours. In fact you’ll discover authentic hidden treasures that your palate will enjoy.
Your host will be a local. So he knows what he’s talking about.
At the end of the experience you will be able to prepare your very own tapas, discover a bit more about Seville, the origin of Flamenco, The Holy Inquisition or the discovery of the New World.
This Seville tapas tour activity is for adults only. And a maximum of 10 participants. To keep it simple and small.
