Santa Maria de la Sede it’s the official name but we call it the Cathedral, but don’t let this confuse you, the Cathedral of Seville it’s the biggest Gothic temple in the planet! and the biggest in Spain. During non service times the Cathedral turns into a museum and what a museum! World Unesco Heritage since 1987, The Cathedral holds the remains of Christopher Columbus, the biggest altar piece in Christianty, Murillo paintings, Goya’s and many more!

Also you can climb the Giralda. The minaret tower of the former Aljama Mosque sent to build by the Khalifas Yusuf I and Yacub I starting construction in 1172 and finishing in 1198. With an impressive 84 meters (275ft) in it’s original shape. Later with the Christianization of the city, the tower reached it’s maximum height that we have today 104,5 meters (342,84ft) and was for a long period of time, the tallest tower in Europe until the Eiffel Tower was built.

Seville's Cathedral tour itinerary

14:50 hrs - Plaza Virgen de los Reyes
t’s a long name for a Plaza, but its easy to find; The meeting point it’s the fountain right in front of the Cathedral Bell Tower or the Giralda as we call it. Remember at 2:55 pm we meet.
15:00 hrs - Cathedral Tour
At 3pm we enter the monument through the guides access. Once the tour is over you can climb all the way to the top of the Giralda Tower.

Somewhere around two hours is a decent time to spend inside the Cathedral. However, due to Covid-19 it is recomendable to purchase the tickets in advance via internet.

Yes, no hidden fees or charges, what you see is what you pay.

Our tour is around 1h30 mins. And it ends at the Giralda tower entrance. From there you can climb it on your own and enjoy the views from atop.

If you wish to join us, all you need is valid ID and a telephone/ camera. that’s it!
